ENVIRONMENTAL

Armac Group trading as Armac Demolition Ltd and Armac Environmental Ltd is committed to protecting and enhancing the environments in which we work. This intent is supported by our ISO 14001:2015 accredited Environmental Management System.

This policy and any associated documentation are made available to all persons working for and on behalf of the Company, as well as interested parties on request. This policy and associated documentation are subject to periodic review to ensure that it continues to meet the Company’s environmental commitments.

As an integral part of our business, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and we actively encourage our suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to do the same.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with all legal, client and other requirements relating to the environment

  • Support our supply chain partners and where required clients to enrich the social and physical environments in which we operate

  • Provide innovative and effective solutions which support the communities in which we operate to enable economic growth

  • Develop action plans, agree objectives, and review progress

  • Ensure arrangements to deliver requirements are implemented

Environmental Impacts

We will collaborate with our people, supply chain and clients to protect the environment by:

  • Complying with relevant environmental legislation and regulation

  • Prevention of pollution

  • Minimise waste and emissions to air and water pollution

  • Reduce our local impact and effects of disturbance from noise

  • Ensure that the managerial responsibility and accountability for the Environment, of its employees and others, which may be affected by its undertakings, is specified in writing

  • Sustain awareness of the need to prevent Environmental incident in the minds of all employees, and investigate and ensure learning from all accidents/ non-conformities

  • Ensure that appropriate environmental training is provided, and prevention is included within documentation and learning development programmes

  • Monitor performance and trends and set objectives for continued improvement

We are committed to engaging with stakeholders to ensure we improve our environmental management system to exceed our compliance obligations to deliver environmental best practice. We will report monthly environmental performance to identify opportunities for continual improvement. We will continue to raise awareness with our employees and supply chain through training, workshops, health & safety stand downs and other communication methods.

Ultimate responsibility for all matters relating to the Environment within the Armac Group rests with the Managing Director.
