SUSTAINABILITY

We are passionate about operating sustainably now to ensure positive outcomes in the future. We continuously evaluate how we can create a positive impact in the areas we operate and business wide. Sustainability is not only key to the long-term survival of the business, but also our social and economic responsibility. The business is BSI ISO 14001:2015 accredited.

We divert waste from landfill by practicing re-use and recycling in-line with the waste hierarchy, each project we undertake has a pre-demolition audit conducted, ensuring priority is always given to waste minimisation before commencement. 98.5% of waste on our sites is diverted from landfill.

Efficient routing is practised to avoid local impact and improve our carbon footprint. Our HGV transport fleet and plant is equipped with the latest Euro6 engines and AdBlue dispensing to ensure lower carbon dioxide emissions are achieved. Our transport fleet is FORS Silver accredited. We promote car sharing and use remote meetings to avoid unnecessary travel. As we operate UK wide, the nature of our business dictates that travel is required. Therefore, where we cannot directly reduce our carbon footprint, we explore carbon off-set strategies by supporting environmentally friendly projects in the areas in which we operate.

Portable welfare facilities are currently being replaced with eco designed units combining innovative energy generation, storage, and control technologies to provide maximum efficiency, cutting carbon emissions by up to 80%.
