ASBESTOS REMOVAL OPERATIVE

Responsibilities

As an Asbestos Removal Operative, you’ll be reporting to the Asbestos Site Supervisor and be responsible for:

  • Setting up and maintaining asbestos work enclosures

  • Using, storing and maintaining respiratory protective equipment

  • Positioning site equipment, signage, waste routes and transit routes

  • Ensuring asbestos exposure is prevented and minimised

  • Reporting and correcting defects with plant and protective equipment

  • Appropriately handling, packaging and storing asbestos waste

  • Decontaminating plant and premises, and carrying out personal decontamination

Requirements

  • Proven experience of asbestos removal, with an in-date ARCA / UKATA certification in Asbestos Removal

  • Current in date Medical certificate and Face Fit certificates (half mask and full face)

  • Full UK driving licence
